Qué nítido es el sol visto en su idea,
Lavado en la más remota pulcritud de un cielo
Que nos ha expulsado con nuestras imágenes...
La muerte de un dios es la muerte de todos.
Que el purpúreo Febo repose en la cosecha ocre,
Que Febo se adormezca y muera en el ocre otoñal,
Febo está muerto, efebo. Pero Febo era
Un nombre para algo que nunca pudo ser nombrado.
Hubo un proyecto para el Sol y lo hay.

No debe tener nombre, florecedor de oro, sino ser
En la dificultad de lo que tiene que ser.
